On day one after release, Rustom made Rs 14.11 crore at the box office, making it the fourth biggest opener of 2016. Day two, being a Saturday, the film is expected to ramp up its earnings and post around Rs 15-20 crore in ticket sales.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Rustom starts with a bang… Leads by a big margin… Emerges 4th highest opener of 2016… Fri ₹ 14.11 cr.
